About Us

West End Accounting is a locally owned and operated business located in the Westerre Commons Office Complex close to the intersection of Cox Road and Broad Street. We specialize in tax preparation for individuals and bookkeeping, payroll, and tax preparation for small businesses.

We are committed to building relationships with our clients because we understand that our success is dependent on theirs. Part of that commitment is reflected in the way we do business:

  • Potential clients receive a free 45 minute consultation so we can discuss their business needs and answer any questions they may have.
  • Current clients receive one free hour of tax planning in fall to prepare for tax season.
  • Each quarter we host free seminars designed to help our clients grow their business. Lunch is provided as well as time to network with other business owners. Past topics include:
    • How to Make the Most of Your Time
    • Networking
    • IRS Audits
    • 7 Business Killers
  • In May, we host a Client Appreciation Night at a local restaurant to celebrate the end of tax season. Clients can eat, network, or just relax!
  • We have two certified QuickBooks® Pro Advisors and we offer discounts on all Quickbooks® products and supplies.

We're excited about moving into our new location and even more excited about the opportunity to work with our new neighbors! Remember West End Accounting for all your bookkeeping, payroll, and tax preparation needs!

Tracy Pouzar is an Enrolled agent. What does that mean?

“Enrolled” means to be licensed to practice by the federal government, and “Agent” means authorized to appear in the place of the taxpayer at the IRS. Only Enrolled Agents, attorneys, and CPAs may represent taxpayers before the IRS. The Enrolled Agent profession dates back to 1884 when, after questionable claims had been presented for Civil War losses, Congress acted to regulate persons who represented citizens in their dealings with the U.S. Treasury Department.

Only Enrolled Agents are required to demonstrate to the IRS their competence in matters of taxation before they may represent a taxpayer before the IRS. Unlike attorneys and CPAs, who may or may not choose to specialize in taxes, all Enrolled Agents specialize in taxation. Enrolled Agents are the only taxpayer representatives who receive their right to practice from the U.S. government (CPAs and attorneys are licensed by the states).
